Kobo Ea Poloko

This blanket draws its inspiration from Maleh's late grandmother, Matlelima Anna Hlalele, who was not only accomplished in various aspects of life but also held a significant role as a spiritual leader and caregiver within her family. Above all else, her nurturing qualities and spiritual guidance were paramount.

Kobo ea Poloko takes inspiration from one of her grandmother's beloved verses, Isaiah 61v3, which emphasizes the importance of being "Clothed with the garments of Salvation." Through this blanket, we aim to inspire a nation that perseveres in faith, as echoed in the lyrics of the Lesotho National Anthem, "Molimo a ko boloke Lesotho." Despite the wave of independence that swept across African countries in the 1960s, Lesotho remained steadfast in its adherence to the Christian teachings brought by early missionaries.

The design of this blanket beautifully combines iconic Basotho and Christian symbols, symbolising the harmonious coexistence of these two influences.
